Wes Brown and Ryan Giggs are set to be offered new contracts at Manchester United.

Both players are entering the final year of their contracts with the Premiership champions, but chief executive David Gill insists there is no need to worry about rushing to get new deals sorted.

Talks are yet to begin with either player, but with both settled at Old Trafford, there is no chance of them going elsewhere.

Gill said: “We’re always relaxed about Ryan because we trust him and he trusts us. I’m sure we’ll look at that.”

He added: “Wes likes it here and we will be looking to extend his deal.”

Wes Brown recently said on his United future: “I love playing for United and talk of me leaving this summer was rubbish.

“I have never thought of going anywhere else because it would be a step down. Having that conversation with the manager is something I dread.”
